山东济南焦家村考古发现身高1.9米以上的巨人遗骸。通常我们认为山东人比较高大，也许这个考古也能印证这种说法的真实性，孔子身高1.9米的说法不再显得不切实际。

Archeologists(考古学家) have found some people in East China 5,000 years ago to be unusually tall and strong.

考古学家在华东地区发现一些五千年前的人异常高大。

Measurements of bones show the height of at least one man to have reached 1.9 meters with quite a few at 1.8 meters or taller. This is just based on the bone structure. If he was a living person, his height would certainly be more than 1.9 meters.

骨骼测量显示至少有一名男子的身高达到1.9米，其中不少人的骨骼达到了1.8米或更高。这只是基于骨骼结构测量的。如果他是一个活着的人，他的身高肯定会超过1.9米。

From 2016, archeologists have been checking the ruins of 104 houses, 205 graves and 20 sacrificial(献祭的) pits at Jiaojia village in Zhangqiu district, Jinan city. The relics are from the Longshan Culture, named after Mount Longshan in Zhangqiu.

从2016年起，考古学家一直在对济南市张丘区焦家村的104个房屋，205个坟墓和20个祭祀坑进行考古。一直被命名为龙山文化，是以其发现地点龙山命名的。

Already agricultural at that time, people had all kinds of rich food resources and thus their physique(体格) changed. Millet was the major crop and people raised pigs. Pig bones and teeth were found in some graves.

According to the findings, taller men were found in larger tombs, possibly because such people had a high rank and were able to get better food. Shandong locals believe height to be one of their defining characteristics. Confucius (551-479 BC), a native of the region, was said to be about 1.9 meters tall.

根据调查结果显示，较高的男子往往出现在较大的坟墓中，可能是因为这些人的社会地位更高，能够获得更好的食物。山东当地人认为身高是其主要特征之一。孔子就是山东人，据说身高约有1.9米。
