Once upon a time, a kind farmer lived in a village. He had a small field outside the village. He planted crops there. He sold the crops to feed his small family and lived happily.
从前，一个村子里住着一位善良的农民。他在村外有一块小田地。他在那里种庄稼。他卖掉庄稼养活了他的小家庭，过着幸福的生活。
The farmer was a helpful person. He always reached out to help others in need. One cold morning, he was getting ready to work in his field, as he usually did. People were not outside their homes yet. He decided to go to his field when the sun was just about to rise.
农夫是一个乐于助人的人。他总是伸出援手帮助有需要的人。一个寒冷的早晨，他正准备像往常一样在自己的田地工作。人们还没有走出家门。他决定在太阳即将升起的时候去他的田地。
As he was about to reach his field, he found a venomous (有毒的) snake lying near a bush. It was really cold that day, and the snake was dying. The cold had got to him badly. The snake was lying stiff on the ground. The freezing temperature did not let him move.
当他即将到达田野时，他发现一条毒蛇躺在灌木丛附近。那天真的很冷，蛇快死了。寒冷使他很难受。蛇僵硬地躺在地上。冰冷的温度让他不能移动。
The farmer felt sorry for the snake and started thinking of ways to save his life. He knew that the snake was venomous but still wanted to give him a chance to survive. He could not let the snake die like this.
农夫为蛇感到难过，开始想办法救他的命。他知道蛇是有毒的，但仍然想给他一个活下来的机会。他不能让蛇这样死去。
He hugged the snake to warm him up. The snake felt the little heat and started to wake up. Finally, the snake was able to move on his own. The farmer still kept on warming him with his body heat.
他抱住蛇使他暖和起来。蛇感觉到一点热量，开始醒来。最后，蛇能够自己移动。农夫仍然用他的体温给他取暖。
After some time, the snake was ready to move. The snake suddenly realised that a man was holding him closer to his body. Within a moment, he bit the farmer without realising that he had saved his life.
一段时间后，蛇准备移动。蛇突然意识到一个人正把他抱得离他的身体更近。不一会儿，他咬了农民，却没有意识到他救了他的命。
The farmer was shocked. He felt terrible pain in his body. He sat down, thinking about why he saved the snake, just so it could bite him. He told the others standing around him to learn from his mistake.
农夫震惊了。他感到身体剧痛。他坐下来，想着为什么要救那条蛇，这样它就可以咬他了。他告诉站在他周围的其他人要从他的错误中吸取教训。
