It’s 2023 now. Benjamin Mehanovic was born in 2010. He is from Sarajevo, Bosnia. He has got a full scholarship(奖学金) from the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The money was for what he did to help people affected by earthquakes(地震) in Turkey and Syria.

Benjamin Mehanovic set up a stand in Sarajevo and sold tea to raise money for people in Turkey and Syria. Those people have been affected by the earthquakes last month. Benjamin was spending 4 hours a day in the cold selling tea for $0.5. He raised €100 ($107) and used the money to purchase tooth brushes, food and other things at the supermarket.

On March 17, IUS invited Mehanović to the school and gave him a full scholarship for his future education. “He is a little boy who has a big heart. He is an example of what humans should do in difficult times. Benjamin has already become a part of the IUS family and he tells us that one person can change the world,” said Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım.
